In Chapter 2 we included an image of the method slavers used to pack slaves into the Brookes. If you want a closer look, go to either of these images and download them, then open them in an image viewer. You should be able to zoom in and read the small text. Warning: the images and accompanying text are horrific. They show the utter brutality and contempt for human dignity that most slavers exhibited toward their human cargo. Warning: looking at this more closely can be very upsetting.
